Processing of personal data
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is an EU level regulation which replaced existing data protection regulation in Europe. The regulation came into force on May 25th, 2018.
The primary purpose of GDPR is to give people more control over their personal data and to simplify the rules for international business by coordinating EU legislation. GDPR affects the entire society, every company, organization and authority, and gives customers greater control over the information they provide.
Swedbank has a strong legacy in protecting the information we process on behalf of our customers. Protection of personal data has always been and will continue to be Swedbank’s priority. We will always be transparent and open towards our customers in what personal data we process and for what purpose. These are guiding principles for Swedbank.
